Leaders are born. We just handle the fine tunin'.A note from Joe:"We are truly in the people business. Our product happens to be food." Over the years, this statement has become very clear as we see what outstanding people can do for our company. From the dishwasher position to our chief operating officer, the professional development of the human being has been the key to our growth for more than 30 years. As we study other companies and organizations, it has become quite apparent that we have a truly remarkable culture, which is the heart of our company. Our mission statement begins with the words "We are a caring family." Those words mean "it's not just about corned beef and pastrami." We are interested in developing our people in all walks of life: spiritually, physically, and taught by Executive Management Team management and the Ownership group. You will be inspired as the instructors walk through each Core Value, illustrating them with stories and anecdotes from "the old days." There is a great deal of reflection time as well as experiential exercises that allow you to practice the philosophies and models that have gotten us to the successful place we are today. Enjoy both the outstanding food and camaraderie during your stay in the beautiful surroundings. Joe Tortorice Leadership Institute Mission: Our company mission statement is "We are a caring family, doing whatever it takes to serve quality food in a warm, friendly environment." Our Leadership Institute mission statement complements it: "Developing better human beings through the teaching of our Core Values." All L.I. events are derived from one or more of our Core Values. To enhance our being "caring, warm, and friendly," our L.I. was created to further develop our people as persons! And, to support our CEO's vision of being culture-driven, people-focused, and sustainable. Human capital is indispensable. L.I. workshops are integrated into manager's overall goals and professional development plans. Our current and future L.I. offerings are designed to continue to grow, in our industry niche, an UN-matchable culture. In 2006, we celebrated 30 years of a people business serving deli-cious food. We believe our L.I. will make a significant contribution to our success over the NEXT 30 years! Core Values: Building a Legacy that Lasts.
